“They are another team which has found a nice offensive rhythm.”

Adelaide 36ers head coach Mike Wells says his side must limit the offensive output of a rejuvenated Brisbane Bullets in a Christmas Eve showdown at the Entertainment Centre on Tuesday.

Brisbane has won four of the past five matches and have been racking up the points, scoring over 100 points in each victory.

Wells said his team need to get back to the defence which was evident during the final quarter of Adelaide’s last win, against New Zealand at home on December 14.

“We played Brisbane not too long ago, so we will focus on that (game), and move the group forward and be ready to play,” Wells said.

“They are another team which has found a nice offensive rhythm.”

The Bullets new found offensive rhythm has come with the improved form of import Casey Prather, who is back to his NBL championship-winning best over the past month.

Prather will also have to carry the offensive load even more on Tuesday with the Bullets missing import guard James Batemon (hamstring).

“Casey has done an unbelievable job for them, the way he has shot the ball,” Wells said.

“That probably started in our game a little bit.”

Prather had 33 points at 82 per cent when the Bullets defeated Adelaide 102-83 earlier this month, Wells knows his side must bounce back to keep in touch with the NBL25 standings.

“We got to get a win at home on Christmas Eve to keep pace,” Wells said.

“We are trying to win the next game, that is the focus.

“We got to do whatever we can to win the next game as the ladder is so packed.

“Teams are so close together, so we need to get back home and protect home court.”
