“It’s just about setting the tone as a team.”

Adelaide 36ers captain DJ Vasiljevic said his side has to be pro-active going into Sunday afternoon’s clash against Melbourne United at John Cain Arena.

Vasiljevic scored 18 of his game-high 26 points in the opening half in the 89-79 win over Sydney Kings on Friday night.

“It’s just about setting the tone as a team, you got to do it,” Vasiljevic said.

“Last game it was KD (Kendric Davis), this game it was me, next game might be Isaac (Humphries), might be Trez (Montrezl Harrell), might even be Sunday (Dech), you never know.”

Adelaide has already had five different players score 20 or more points in a game this season, with offensive options right across the floor.

Head coach Mike Wells said the focus turned to Melbourne United straight after Friday night’s win.

“We had to prepare for Sydney first, I will start thinking about Melbourne after Friday night,” Wells said.

“Our focus now is on a really good Melbourne United team and we will move forward and focus on what we need to do to be successful in that game.”

Adelaide will be back in action on Sunday afternoon when the 36ers travel to John Cain Arena to battle Melbourne United, tip-off is at 4pm ACST and you can watch all the action live on 10 BOLD and ESPN via Kayo Sports.
