Variety SA signs on as partner of Schools Program

Children's charity, Variety SA, joins forces with Adelaide 36ers to support XVenture Schools Program

Adelaide 36ers are excited to announce Variety, the Children's Charity, will partner with the Adelaide 36ers XVenture Schools Program.

The new partnership with the Adelaide 36ers is through the Variety SA Grants Program which provides funds for individuals, schools and organisations to support children in need.

The partnership will enable young people from all backgrounds to have the opportunity to participate in the program and further enhance the community learning outcomes that are applied within the program.

Variety SA has a mission is to ensure that all kids deserve a fair go within the community, this aligns with the focus of the Adelaide 36ers community initiatives. The club wants to ensure that all schools, and disadvantaged young people, can participate in a program such as this.

Adelaide 36ers chief executive officer Nic Barbato said the club was excited for Variety SA to come on board in support of the Adelaide 36ers XVenture Schools Program.

“Since the launch only six months ago, the Adelaide 36ers XVenture Schools Program has been embedded into the curriculum of over 20 South Australian secondary schools and is playing a part in building the next generation,” Barbato said.

“Variety’s contribution enables us to deliver the program to many new schools in South Australia.”

Variety SA Chief Executive Officer, Mark McGill said the partnerships is a great fit for both parties.

“Two of Variety’s core values are Equality and Community and the Adelaide 36ers XVenture Schools Program reflects these values and importantly allows children in need to have the same opportunity as others," McGill said.

The number of schools offering the Adelaide 36ers XVenture Schools Program is growing with the aim to have 100 schools involved withing the next 24 months, which will also include schools outside South Australia.
