“You have to be switched on at all times, and you have to be locked in.”

Currently completing Year 12 at Henley High School, Roxburgh will go through his final exams during pre-season, but is ready for the challenge.

“I’ve worked on the whole school-basketball balance, and I think I’ve got it right,” Roxburgh said.

“Have to get my school done first, that will all get worked out,

“Exams are going to be during pre-season, that’s going to be tough, but we will get through it.”

“Excited that Fraser is back, he is a unique player that has only got better since his transition from high school to the NBL,” Bruton said.

“He got on the floor last season for us and to play in the NBL1 Central with the Bearcats has given him the opportunity to flourish and gain his confidence.

“This has also continued his development from the past NBL season, and I’m excited what he will bring to the table.

“His future is super bright.”

Roxburgh has been super impressive for the Bearcats during the NBL1 Central season, with West Adelaide sitting pretty on top of the standings and are the clear championship favourite.

“It’s been really good getting out on the court and playing with the guys,” Roxburgh said.

“To show my abilities and what I can do, it’s been a great season so far.”

The swingman said going into his second season as a Development Player, he will have some tips for fellow DP’s Harvey White, Keanu Rasmussen and Akech Aliir.

“Just go out there and compete, I’ll give them a few tips and pointers here and there,” Roxburgh said.

“I’ve experienced everything already that the guys will go through, so I think that will help them along the journey.”
