Adelaide 36ers are thrilled to announce Keanu Rasmussen has been elevated to a full roster spot for the start of the NBL24 season.
The 188cm shooting guard returned to Adelaide earlier this year as a Development Player after spending two seasons at California Baptist Lancers in the NCAA Division One College system.
Rasmussen will join the NBL24 roster as the club considers a third import option moving forward.
The Sturt Sabres junior is very excited to make his NBL debut on Friday night after going through a tough pre-season, returning from an ankle injury which halted his NBL1 Central season.
“It was a challenge doing the rehab and getting back on court after the ankle injury, but all the hard work has paid off,” Rasmussen said.
“I can’t wait for Friday night; the game can’t come soon enough.”
Adelaide 36ers head coach CJ Bruton said the addition of Rasmussen to his roster is a great reward for the shooting guard’s toughness and resilience.
“He’s a great young talent and he’s a local kid that’s come home and we are very happy to call Keanu a 36er,” Bruton said.
Rasmussen will make his NBL debut on Friday night against the Bullets in Brisbane, with Jacob Rigoni to continue as the club’s Nominated Injury Replacement Player.
