Adelaide 36ers captain Mitch McCarron said playoffs are still the focus despite losing both games on the road last round.

The 36ers fell 98-82 to Tasmania JackJumpers in Hobart last Thursday, then lost 112-97 to Perth Wildcats at RAC Arena on Saturday.

McCarron said the 36ers must focus on the games ahead, rather than lamenting on missed opportunities.

“We haven’t got it done, we got to bounce back,” McCarron said on Monday.

“It’s do or die, it’s must win games and we got to do it now.

“We got Brisbane this Thursday, then we will worry about the rest after that.”

Adelaide travel to Brisbane to face the Bullets on Thursday night, then will host Melbourne United at a special NBL Heritage Round contest at the Entertainment Centre on Saturday night.

“We have been disappointing, but we have run into some pretty tough teams,” McCarron said.

“That’s in the past, we lost the games, now we just have to go and win these ones.

“If we go 5-0 there’s a very good chance we go and make finals.

“I haven’t done all the numbers but at the end of the day if we win five games and get 16 wins.

“We haven’t lived up to our standards, not o much the outside pressure, but the standards from within, we haven’t executed down the stretch and in this league if you don’t do that, you don’t win.”
