Adelaide 36ers captain Mitch McCarron said teammate Nick Marshall's selection in the Boomers squad is only going to 'help his game more'.
Marshall's selection came in the same week he was named as the 36ers' Most Improved Player at its Hall of Fame and MVP night, and McCarron said he was ecstatic for the youngster.
"I'm super happy for him, we've all seen how talented he is and what he can do for a team," he said.
"I'm sure his opportunities are going to come fast.

"In terms of playing for Australia, he gets exposure at a national team level, that's only going to help his game even more."
Having seen his growth first hand on and off court, McCarron said Marshall works hard to continue his improvement.
"Nick's consistency every day, he works his butt off away from training and gets all the extra reps in," he said.
"He's extremely self motivated to continuing to grow as a player.
"He deserves minutes and they're going to come for him soon I'm sure."
Tip off against Bahrain is at 6.30pm on Thursday, followed by the game against Kazakhstan on Sunday at 2.30pm.
