Harrell signs on for NBL25 season
Adelaide 36ers are thrilled to announce the signing of power forward Montrezl Harrell as a Nominated Replacement Player.
The 2020 NBA Sixth Man of the Year, Harrell joins the 36ers as a replacement player for injured import power forward Jarell Martin after spending the past few months at NBA mini camps with Atlanta Hawks and Portland Trail Blazers.
Head coach Mike Wells said Harrell will bring energy at both ends of the floor as well as adding toughness to the roster.
“Montrezl will bring that professionalism with a lot of years in the NBA and his competitiveness is great and he will bring that to the organisation,” Wells said.

A 201cm power forward, Harrell was the 32nd overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft, after spending four seasons at Louisville, where he was part of the 2013 NCAA Championship team.
The 515-game NBA veteran has averaged 12.1 points and 5.0 rebounds per game across eight NBA seasons with Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Clippers, Los Angeles Lakers, Washington Wizards, Charlotte Hornets and Philadelphia 76ers.
Harrell is expected to arrive in Adelaide within the coming days in the lead up to next week’s NBL25 season opener against Sydney Kings at HoopsFest in Perth on Sunday, September 22.
