Adelaide 36ers import power forward Montrezl Harrell has quickly moved on to Saturday’s challenge against New Zealand Breakers in Auckland.
Fresh from his NBL career-high of 36 points, 16 rebounds and five blocks in last Friday night’s 99-93 overtime win against Cairns Taipans, Harrell’s focus is just on the Breakers.
“I’m just taking it one game at a time and do what my team needs me to do in order for us to win the game,” Harrell told media on Wednesday.

“We have a game plan, and we have put it together so we can stop them. (Breakers).
“We got to come in here each day and got to keep building.”
Harrell said his performance against the Taipans was one that had been building since his arrival last month.
“This organisation has welcomed me with open arms and has let me come out here and be myself and help contribute and do a lot of great things,” Harrell said.
“We are still on the journey and that path.”
Adelaide will battle New Zealand Breakers this Saturday at Spark Arena in Auckland, you can watch all the action live and exclusive on ESPN via Kayo Sports from 5pm ACST.
After his massive performance against the Taipans, Harrell has now been put into the NBL25 MVP discussion, but the 2020 NBA Sixth Man of the Year is not buying into the hype.
“Nah man, I don’t really pay attention to those sort of things,” Harrell said.
“I’ve just come over here to work on my game, get myself back in shape and rebound the ball.
“Rebounds is what I have to work on, especially if I want to get back to the NBA.”
