Power forward Robert Franks said the upcoming two games are 'playoff games against playoff teams' as the Adelaide 36ers travel to take on Tasmania JackJumpers and Perth Wildcats.

The 36ers are 1-1 against the JackJumpers and 1-2 against the Wildcats in NBL23, and Franks said it's vital to get the wins.

"We're gonna go in trying to get the two wins," he said.

"We've got to be disciplined and ready to go.

"It's very crucial winning these two in a row...considering where they are on the ladder and we're all there even, to get a bit of separation with two wins would be real nice."

The 36ers have had fast finishes in their last two games, coming from behind to beat Illawarra Hawks before just falling short in their comeback against New Zealand Breakers.

Franks said closing games after the New Year's Eve loss to Cairns has been a big focus point.

"Being disciplined, learning how to finish at practice and being in situational games like that has been preparing us to never have that slip up ever again," he said.

"I think everybody in the locker room and coaches feel like we can play with anybody, we need to have the right mindset, right mentality and right focuses going into games.

"We're focusing on one game at a time and winning those."
