Adelaide 36ers are excited to announce the signing of import guard Jamaal Franklin for the NBL24 season.
Franklin joins the 36ers on a one-year deal after spending last season at Converge FiberXers in the Philippines Basketball Association.
Head coach CJ Bruton said Franklin, who he coached at Toronto Raptors during the 2019 NBA Summer League, said he’s the perfect piece for his roster and is excited at the possibilities for his squad moving forward.
“To get a player of Jamaal’s quality is a huge signing for us at the 36ers,” Bruton said.
“I have been searching for that player who can be the closer for us, and I think Jamaal fits this perfectly.”

The 32-year-old played his NCAA college career at San Diego State before being selected at pick 41 of the 2013 NBA Draft by the Memphis Grizzlies.
After spending two seasons in the NBA and the G-League, Franklin made the move overseas, where he spent seven seasons in Chinese Basketball Association (CBA).
Franklin was the first player in CBA history to record a 60-point triple double and had a 40-point quadruple double while playing for new assistant coach Craig Simpson at Shanxi Brave Dragons.
“What Jamaal can bring to the group will make us a better team, he can play multiple positions but to have a 6”5 point guard is exciting,” Bruton said.
Franklin will arrive in Adelaide for NBL24 pre-season training in early August.
