Davis signs on for NBL25 season
Adelaide 36ers are excited to announce the signing of import point guard Kendric Davis for the NBL25 season.
The 25-year-old joins the 36ers after spending last season in the NBA G-League with Santa Cruz Warriors and is currently playing for Portland Trail Blazers in the NBA Summer League.
Davis said the chance to play in the NBL and to lead a team will be a fresh challenge for his career and is eager to see the possibilities NBL25 can bring.
“I’m excited to get to work with a great organization, great ownership, great coaches and teammates,” Davis said.
“We want to make all the fans proud and hopefully we can work towards the ultimate goal and put on a show.
“I’m grateful for this opportunity and I can’t wait to get to Adelaide.”
Adelaide 36ers GM of Basketball Operations Matt Weston said Davis will bring a lot to the roster as the lead point guard at both ends of the floor.
“Kendric was someone we highlighted early on in the recruitment process, we really like his game, and we think he’s a great fit for our roster,” Weston said.
After going undrafted in 2023, Davis joined the Golden State Warriors for the 2023 NBA Summer League and then joined the Santa Cruz Warriors, where he was named on the NBA G-League All-Rookie Team.
The 180cm point guard played five years of College basketball, transferring to Memphis for his senior year, where he averaged 21.9 points, 5.4 assists and 3.7 rebounds per game.

Head coach Scott Ninnis said Davis is a true point guard and is thrilled at the prospect he gives the roster for the NBL25 season.
“From what I have seen on tape and live in Las Vegas, Kendric is a player that I think will fit the roster build for NBL25,” Ninnis said.
“He will get the opportunity to go against the best point guards in the NBL and he is ready for that challenge.”
Davis will arrive in Adelaide later this month, pre-season begins on Monday, July 29.
