“We just want to get a win whatever way we can.”

Adelaide import point guard Kendric Davis says his side will do everything in their power to get a second win in four days when the 36ers battle the Wildcats in Perth on Friday night.

The 36ers defeated current NBL25 league leaders Illawarra Hawks 91-88 at home on Monday night and Davis knows the equation for Adelaide to make the NBL top six.

“We are desperate for a win,” Davis said.

“We just want to get a win whatever way we can and keep our playoff chances alive.”

Davis was electrifying against the Hawks with a near triple double of 25 points, eight rebounds and seven assists, combining for 51 points with Montrezl Harrell (26 points, nine rebounds).

“We complement each other, we are both dynamic,” Davis said.

“But it’s not just us two, we have Lat (Mayen) playing amazing defence for us, we got DJ (Vasiljevic) making big shots for us, Jarell (Martin) playing great, Isaac (Humphries) is huge for us.

“It’s more than just points for us, we have talent, it’s exciting.”

Davis said the key against the Wildcats, who have defeated the 36ers twice so far this season, is to stay locked in for the full 40 minutes.

“We just got to be consistent, that’s it,” Davis said.

“It’s all on us and I like our chances.”
