Adelaide 36ers are thrilled to announce the signing of point guard Jason Cadee for the next two seasons.
Cadee returns to Adelaide after spending the 2012-13 and 2013-14 seasons at the 36ers where he was a vital part of the club’s charge to the 2014 NBL grand final series.
Adelaide 36ers head coach CJ Bruton, who has coached Cadee before during their stints at Brisbane Bullets, is excited to reunite with the dynamic guard.
“Jason’s an experienced player in the league, and I can see him playing a crucial role for us,” Bruton said.
“He’s a point guard who can run a team, but also has the ability to put points on the board.”
The 186cm point guard has played 367 NBL games across his 13 seasons at Gold Coast Blaze, Sydney Kings, Brisbane Bullets and Adelaide 36ers.
Cadee, who has averaged 9.3 points, 3.1 assists and 2.1 rebounds per night throughout his career, said he can’t wait to get back to Adelaide.
“I always had a genuine love for my time in Adelaide,” Cadee said.
The NBL's Best Sixth Man in 2020 said the links with Bruton were key in his decision to return for a second stint in Adelaide.
“I have had a long connection with CJ since I was a kid and at my time with the Bullets,” Cadee said.
“CJ was pretty adamant he wanted me in Adelaide when I went into free agency.”
Cadee joins Mitch McCarron, Antonius Cleveland, Robert Franks, Sunday Dech, Kyrin Galloway and Nick Marshall in the NBL24 roster.
