Adelaide 36ers off-season recruit Jason Cadee said it’s great to be back for a “fresh start” ahead of the NBL24 season.

Cadee touched down in Adelaide on Tuesday ahead of pre-season training, which starts officially on Wednesday.

“When you know someone like CJ (Bruton) and when you speak to the club and where they’re at, it was a great fit for me and the club, it’s a fresh start,” Cadee said on Tuesday.

“After I entered free agency I wanted to see what was out there, and I reconnected with CJ almost straight away. He wanted me to come to Adelaide and it seemed like a great opportunity.

“I’ve only had CJ as an assistant coach (at Brisbane), but I love what he is about, I like him as a person and if I can help, he can certainly help me.”

The 186cm point guard, who has played 61 of his 367 NBL matches at the 36ers, said he’s primed for NBL24 after winning the NBL1 North MVP last week.

“I feel really good, I’m in a good headspace and a great body space, I’ve only missed three games since I left Adelaide,” Cadee said.

“I know what Adelaide wants, Adelaide wants to see a winner.”

Cadee is excited for what the NBL24 season will bring and he has high hopes for 36ers fans.

“It’s early days but I think we have the right pieces and we still have the one piece to add and that will go a really long way,” Cadee said.

“The work starts now, and I don’t care when that piece gets here, we need someone like a Bryce Cotton or a Jaylen Adams, to really be that close for us.

“Someone that we will play around and make him good, and he will help us be good.”
