Adelaide 36ers to play Brisbane Bullets on Wednesday, September 4

Adelaide 36ers are excited to announce the club will return to Mount Gambier to play a pre-season match in the lead-up to the NBL25 season.

After a hugely successful game last year, the 36ers will be back on court at Wulanda Recreation Centre on Wednesday September 4, when the club will play Brisbane Bullets.

Head coach Scott Ninnis said it’s important for the club to support the regional areas of South Australia, who a massive basketball fans.

“We saw last year the game was huge, it was s ell out and we have a great connection with the basketball community in Mount Gambier,” Ninnis said.

“It’s also great for our guys to get away as a team and get on the road, even though it’s a home game for us.”

The NBL25 pre-season match will be hosted by NBL1 South club Mount Gambier Pioneers and president Tom Kosch is delighted to welcome the 36ers back again in 2024.

“Last year’s match was really well received, all general admission seating sold out within 24 hours of tickets going on sale,” Kosch said.

“It was a huge opportunity for our local community to see the NBL in our town.”

Adelaide 36ers swingman Nick Marshall will again be the headline act after spearheading the Pioneers in the NBL1 South for the past four seasons.

“Nick is definitely a crowd favourite here in Mount Gambier, so I’m sure he will get plenty of support,” Kosch said.

“We are super excited to bring high level basketball to Wulanda again and we can’t wait for September 4.”
