Adelaide 36ers are thrilled to announce Akech Aliir, Harvey White, Fraser Roxburgh and Keanu Rasmussen as the club’s Development Players for the NBL24 season.
Rasmussen was signed earlier this year, but Roxburgh, Aliir and White were selected after the club’s two-day Development Player tryout this month.
Adelaide 36ers head coach CJ Bruton said he’s excited with this season’s crop of Development Players and the tryout camp was a huge success.
“Being able to establish the DP camp was exciting for the club and very rewarding for the players,” Bruton said.
“We had a wide range of players out there that probably wouldn’t have ever got that opportunity to showcase their play.
“With Keanu already signed, it was tough to make the selections as there was a lot of talent on show, but Fraser, Akech and Harvey really impressed.”
Aliir has been a star for North Adelaide Rockets since moving to the NBL1 Central competition in 2023.
The 23-year-old forward is averaging 17.5 points, 11.4 rebounds and 2.8 assists per night to put the Rockets into playoff contention.
“This has really vindicated my move to Adelaide,” Aliir said.

Roxburgh returns for his second season as a Development Player after moving his career to South Australia for NBL23.
“It’s great to have another shot as a DP, I think making the decision to stay in Adelaide and finish school was the right one,” Roxburgh said.
The Year 12 Henley High School student has impressed for West Adelaide Bearcats this NBL1 season, forcing his way into the starting line-up while averaging 13.9 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game.
White, a Sturt Sabres junior who is also completing Year 12 student at St Peter’s College, said joining the 36ers was a “dream come true”.
“To get that phone call was really exciting, I can’t wait to get started,” White said.
The Adelaide 36ers NBL24 pre-season will commence later this month.
