Rekindling the memories of a drought-breaking 1998 championship win will come flooding back to the hardwood this month as the Adelaide 36ers celebrate the NBL23 Heritage Round.

The 36ers will don the white uniforms the club wore in their 90-62 grand final game two win against South East Melbourne Magic, Adelaide sweeping the regular season champion 2-0 in the three-game series.

Adelaide 36ers CEO Nic Barbato said the uniform is a tremendous honour for the 1998 championship side and will also bring back memories of ‘title town’.

“The club is proud to release these jerseys and to bring back the design from the late 90s,” Barbato said.

“The 1998 side broke a 12-year championship drought and the uniform honors its history and brings back many fond memories.

“Round 16 is the league-wide heritage round and it’s a nice touch we will wear the uniforms at home against Melbourne.”

Adelaide will wear the uniform three times, against Tasmania JackJumpers on Thursday night, against the Bullets in Brisbane on January 19 and at home against Melbourne United on January 21.

The jerseys will be available to purchase from the Adelaide 36ers store from January 11.
